Introduction:
This is an Innovative Graphical Authentication scheme, which lets User Choose random images each time based on the pre-defined scheme. In this scheme first user is asked to get himself familiar with the working of the scheme. once the user is confortable with the scheme, he may start using this scheme. The registered users need not learn any thing new except the way the password is entered. as the name suggest this scheme uses images to be as used as password chaarcters, the scheme in itself is very simple. This is recall based scheme where the users enters his password by looking at the images.
Working:
This is a hybrid authentication scheme, which allows the users to input their text password throgh the graphical interface. The innovation here is that the user gets the security and ease of use of Graphical User Authentication. This makes the password shoulder surfing resistant. The working logic of the scheme is very simple and any person can use. This scheme proposes to choose the password characters by choosing the image representing that character. The algorithm uses the first letter of the image being represented, e.g. The mango represents the letter 'm'. The Hotkeys can be used to alter the character represented, e.g. when the mango is selected along with the SHIFT key the character will change to 'M', when the mango is selected along with the CTRL key the character will change to '&', when the mango is selected along with the ALT key the character will change to '7'. This mapping has been provided in the scheme implenetation.
